About The Program

Access-Early Intervention Project

The University of Sydney and Royal Far West (RFW) have partnered together to implement and evaluate Australia’s first E-health treatment for children with conduct problems. Our evidence-based intervention is based on building up healthy parent-child interactions primarily through encouragement of emotional connection, quality/special family time, physical affection, praise and consistent calm responses to challenging behaviour such as tantrums, defiance and aggression, and is backed by studies showing its effectiveness in reducing behaviour problems in children.  Each family’s participation in our research has been valuable and has contributed to the improvement of existing strategies and the development of new treatments for childhood and adolescent behavioural and emotional problems.
